Calories
The western world suffers from obesity of epidemic proportions. On average we consume far too many calories in relation to our level of physical activity. This is the primary cause of the immense increase in the so-called lifestyle diseases – obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
Fewer calories for a healthier life in the western world
The EU expects that 40% of the European population will be obese by 2030 unless these behaviour patterns can be changed. At EASIS we focus on the total number of calories in each product. When we remove the sugar that would otherwise be added to our products, we’re fully aware of the risk of adding substitutes with a similar calorie content. Our aim is to make products with at least 30% less calories than other products in the same category.
