Sugar replacement with no calories
EASIS Perfect Multisød is a sugar replacement based on the sweetener erythritol. Erythritol contains no calories, but has the same consistency as sugar which it replaces in the ratio of 1 to 1 in everyday use i.e. on breakfast, porridge, grits, strawberries, in pastry, cooking, coffee etc. Can be warmed up.
Technical information Erythritol is a carbohydrate (a sugar alcohol) which is to be found naturally in plants in very small quantities. It is manufactured industrially on basis of natural, raw material and non-genetically modified organisms.
Erythritol is also a molecule which is absorbed in the body as it is and it is secreted untransformed in the urine. As a result, it adds no energy to the body whatsoever. It is the only sugar alcohol with the calorific value 0.
Excessive consumption may cause a laxative effect. If you keep an account of carbohydrates consumed in relation to diabetes you do not have to include Multisød, as erythritol does not affect the level of blood sugar. Erythritol is only due to legislation categorized as a carbohydrate (sugar alcohol).
Storage: Dry and not in direct sunlight. After opening keep tightly sealed. Shelf life: 30 months.
